Police in Arua have in custody a woman identified as Sharon Amaniyo a resident of Koo cell in Yivu ward, Ayivu division for allegedly strangling her two-month-old child to death.
Josephine Angucia, the West Nile region Police Spokesperson says the incident was reported by a resident identified as Tabu Albino who found the minor’s lifeless body lying in the suspect’s doorway around 6 am on Monday.
Amaniyo was intercepted by residents who attempted to lynch her around 9 am. However, the police intervened and saved her from the mob.
