3 New COVID-19 deaths confirmed today
Three more Ugandans have succumbed to COVID-19, according to a statement from the Ministry of Health released on Thursday evening.
Of the tests done on Thursday 06 January 2021, 372 new cases were confirmed, bringing the cumulative confirmed cases to 37,074.
3 new COVID-19 deaths have also been confirmed, bringing the total COVID-19 deaths to 297.
The breakdown of the new cases
Kampala (212), Masaka (26), Mbarara (19), Lyantonde (12), Wakiso (21), Jinja (10), Luwero (8), Mbale (5), Ntungamo (4), Gulu (4), Kyotera (4), Butaleja (5), Mukono (3), Mpigi (3), Kazo (3), Kalaki (3) and Iganga (3).
Others are; Lira (3), Tororo (2), Bushenyi (2), Arua (2), Kayunga (2), Kalungu (2), Kiryandongo (2), Busia (2), Rakai (2), Sironko (1), Rukungiri (1), Buhweju (1), Bugiri (1), Bududa (1), Kakuuto (1), Rubanda (1) and Kitgum (1).
Government says they have applied for the COVID-19 vaccine which is expected to be here by June 2021.
