TikTok Personality Juma Musuuza Remanded In Back To Luzira Prison

TikTok personality Juma Musuuza, also known as Madubarah UG, has been remanded in Luzira Prison until November 27th as investigations continue into allegations of hate speech.

Madubarah UG is facing charges related to offensive comments directed at Uganda’s First Family and the Speaker of Parliament, Anita Among.

The prosecution claims that the TikToker, a second-hand shoe vendor, used his social media platform to post content deemed derogatory.

According to the state, Madubarah circulated videos from Wakiso District in central Uganda that mocked President Yoweri Museveni, his son General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, and Speaker Among.

In one video, Madubarah allegedly stated, “If Museveni hands over power to his drunkard son, the country will be destroyed within two days. Let Ugandans pray for our country and ourselves.”

In another clip, he reportedly said, “If Muhoozi takes over power from his father, the country will be destroyed within two days due to his drinking habits, and anyone who speaks out will either be arrested or killed.”

Additionally, State Attorney Janet Kitimbo accused Madubarah of making offensive remarks about Speaker Among, claiming she misused taxpayer money to build a mansion “better than State House” and to purchase skin-lightening products.

The court hearing was delayed after the prosecution’s key witness failed to appear.

As a result, Madubarah was remanded until his next court date on November 27th, with the magistrate advising him to seek bail during the upcoming hearing.
