Blankets and Wine returns with a more exciting edition

The last edition of Blankets and Wine that featured Nameless, Kenzo and A Pass was regarded as one of the best editions ever but this edition happening at the end of this month is expected to be more lit.  

The upcoming edition happening on the 29^th of September will bring an international and local music experience, fashion, food, family-friendly activities and craft markets.

According to Afsa Umutesi, Head Producer of the event, this upcoming edition will be the most diverse and most exciting ever.

“We’re excited to be hosting an array of vibrant artists and performers in Kampala and provide an in-city festival experience for the people of Uganda. This upcoming edition is shaping up to be our most diverse and exciting yet. With a mix of established legends and rising stars, there’s something for everyone. Get ready to immerse yourself in a world of music, art, and unforgettable experiences”, Umutesi said. 

Umutesi also added that the festival will offer offers attendees 2 stages with one vibe powered by the finest selection of local and international artists known for their electrifying performances and chart-topping sounds.

The Blankets Stage will feature live performances from Andereya Baguma, BLU 3, Karun, Sun El Musician X Simmy, Joshua Baraka, Mootownoh & Kivumbi King while the Onja Onja Stage will feature Etania, Flo Moon, R3ign Drops, Masaka Masaka and That Guy Em on the decks.

To add on that, Head of Festivals, Justine Mbugua said that while a concert is a single, focused event featuring a specific artist or band, Blankets and Wine is a multi-faceted experience.

“It’s a community gathering, a celebration of music, art, and culture. It’s about creating a shared memory, an atmosphere that transcends the individual acts on stage.”

The festival will feature a dedicated family area that offers free admission to children between the ages of 0-12 as well as a variety of vendors ranging from food, drink, fashion and craft.
