On the 9th of September, the vibrant city of Mbarara witnessed an electrifying display of style, talent, and youthful exuberance as students from various schools across Western Uganda converged at KOSIYA Hotel for the eagerly awaited Hi Skool Kiromo Mbarara Edition. Hosted by MC Ollo and powered by NBS TV, Afromobile, Sumz Snacks, Mirinda, and Country Cinema, this event brought holidaymakers in Mbarara together for a day filled with cutting-edge fashion and entertainment.

The atmosphere crackled with excitement as students from different schools unveiled their distinctive fashion statements, showcasing their creativity and individuality in remarkable ways. The event served as a vibrant canvas for young fashion enthusiasts to express themselves through their unique styles.

Among the event’s highlights were the inter-school competitions that injected a friendly competitive spirit into the day. These contests celebrated not only fashion but also the diverse talents of participating students in music, dance, and modeling, yielding impressive results:

  • Najjumba Zahara, a student at St. Elizabeth, won the coveted title of Miss High School Western Uganda, captivating the audience with her grace and poise.
  • MC Jojo from Mbarara Secondary School was crowned Best MC in Western Uganda, showcasing exceptional hosting skills.
  • Students from Ibanda Secondary School earned the award for Best Instrumentalists, displaying their musical prowess.
  • Mbarara High School dazzled the crowd with exceptional dance moves, securing both the Best Dancer and Best Fashionista titles.
  • Mbarara Secondary School took the spotlight as the Best Rapper.
  • Shivan from St. Elizabeth impressed judges as the Best Model with their charisma and runway presence.
  • Deo Klein from Ntare School not only won the Best Model Group award but also earned the title of Best Fashionista.
  • MC Ronah from Heritage School was recognized as the Best Female MC, breaking gender boundaries with her talent.

Despite unpredictable weather that brought rain, the event continued unabated, featuring a stellar lineup of student performers and big-name artists, including Fik Fameica, Crysto Panda, Anknown, Liam Voice, Victor Ruz, Omega 256, Benty Boys, Kataleya, and Kandle. The audience was treated to a dazzling array of musical talent and performances, showcasing the unwavering dedication of these young artists even in adverse conditions.
