Police officer in trouble for defiling 15-year-old P.4 pupil

The Police in Napak District have arrested one of their own identified as D/IP Odeke Joseph the incharge CID Iriiri Police station on allegations of aggravated defilement.

Odeke allegedly defiled a 15-year-old P.4 pupil of Kapuat Primary School and resident of Iriiri trading Centre, Iriiri Parish in Napak District.

AIP Longole Mike the Ag. PRO Mt Moroto says the matter was reported by Muhammad Lomong the child’s father.

Longole says the Police as an institution takes seriously allegations against its officers and will carry out a thorough investigation on the matter before coming up with a clear report.

The officer has since been arrested and a team of investigators has been dispatched to handle the matter.

“We request community members in Iriiri to cooperate with them in giving whatever information they need,” said Longole.
