Senior Police Officer Dies in Suspected Suicide

The police in Kampala are investigating the cause of death of their own SSP Julius Ahimbisibwe, who is suspected to have committed suicide by hanging.

According to ACP Kituuma Rusoke, the PRO of the Uganda Police Force, the incident was reported on Easter Monday, 21st April 2025, and is alleged to have occurred in Nsangi, Wakiso District.

It is said that while at his home, he may have taken his life by hanging.

“Police visited the scene of the occurrence. We have processed it, and an investigation is already underway. We have obtained relevant statements from witnesses, including those with whom he was living, and have also conveyed his body to the city mortuary.
