President Museveni Commissions 50Km Kyenjojo—Fort portal road- Photos
President Yoweri Museveni, also National Resistance Movement, NRM Presidential candidate has commissioned the 50Km Kyenjojo—Fort portal road, whose construction was fully funded by the government of Uganda.
The road was commissioned on Wednesday as the President took his campaign to Tooro. Gen. Museveni said the road is a major link to the neighboring countries of Democratic Republic of Congo & Rwanda, it also serves as a transit route for tourists to the Rwenzori Mountains.
“This road will improve movement within North Western Uganda and through Lamia & Mpondwe link the Democratic Republic of Congo to Uganda” he said.
Adding that this will boost cross border trade, ease movement & generate income for communities in this area.
After commissioning the road, the President met NRM leaders in Kabarole before speaking to the people of Tooro on radio and TV last evening.
Today, Museveni takes campaign to Bundibugyo where he will meet party leaders before making a TV/Radio address in Lukonjo.
