Police surround Besigye’s home following another attempt to hold demonstration

Police officers from Kasangati in Kampala Metropolitan North have heavily deployed outside the residence of Former Forum for Democratic President Dr Kizza Besigye.

This follows an attempt by Besigye to drive to town on Monday to stage a protest against the high commodity prices.

According to Luke Owoyesigyire the PRO KMP, Besigye is not under arrest, but they are only blocking him to avoid any violence that could erupt downtown Kampala if he is allowed there.
