Police search for pastor who disappeared with 20 members of his church
Police are searching for pastor Kalibala Samuel who disappeared with several members of his church in Nama Central, Busimbi Division, in Mityana Municipality.
According to Fred Enanga the Police Spokesperson, the pastor disappeared with over 20 members of his church including a family of seven on 17th May 2022 to date.
The seven family members have been identified as Namuwaya Jessica, Ssekyewa Hakim, Nampewo Shifrah, Mutesasira Muhamad, Ssenabulya Muhamad, Nakintu Angel and Buzeyo Mable who left their home and disappeared with the pastor.
About 13 other people also locked their homes and went away with Kalibala. They switched off their phones and have not communicated with their families.
Enanga says they follow up on such cases to avoid a repeat of the Kibwetere-like tragedy. They have since arrested 3 suspects who participated in the transportation of the missing person.
