Police hunt for primary suspect in murder of prison wardress

The police in Lira are hunting for Omara Oscar, the primary suspect in the murder of prison wardress No.6899 Angu Scovia from Otuke Government Prison.

According to a statement issued by SCP Frank Baine Uganda Prisons Services Spokesperson, Angu’s body was discovered at around 0400hrs in the morning of Sunday15th October 2023 near Otuke prison land where she has been working.

Preliminary investigations indicate that she was strangled to death. Police have so far arrested two suspects; Otim Francis and Okello Jolly.

SCP Baine urged members of the public who may have information about the whereabouts of Omara to inform authorities immediately.
