Police fight off fire at Ministry of Agriculture Stores
The Police at Wandegeya have today 3/04/2022 responded to a fire outbreak at the Ministry of Agriculture stores located along Buganda Road. The fire broke out at about 11 am.
Luke Owoyesigyire the Deputy PRO KMP, the fire prevention and rescue services responded at the scene on time and are currently dealing with the situation. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
Preliminary information gathered by the officers indicates that the storekeepers always burn rubbish every Sunday and it is suspected the wind could have blown the fire inside the store since the burning point is close to the stores.
Owoyesigyire says they arrested two people to help with the investigation. The duo is identified as one Ajambo Jerry and Namudimbi Eunice both cleaners.
Efforts to put out the fire completely are on. More details will be availed as soon as possible.
