Panic as SFC Commando shoots lover, himself to death

Police of Kiruhura district are investigating circumstances under which an SFC soldier shot his lover to death, before turning the gun onto himself.

The incident happened on Tuesday 5/4/2022 at Rugaga trading Centre Kikatsi sub-county, in Kiruhura district.

It is alleged that Private Nuwamanya Dickens a 27year old man attached to SFC Commando Brigade in Ruhegyere, shot his lover identified as Kamarembo Patience a bar operator in Rugaga trading centre thrice in the chest killing her instantly and later turned the gun, shooting himself in the head.

According to ASP Kasasira Samson the PRO Rwizi, they are yet to know the cause of the double homicide.

The bodies have been taken to Kiruhura Health centre IV for postmortem.

Police also recovered the murder weapon(SMG AK47) from the scene of crime and inquiries into the incident are still ongoing.
