Man on the run following mysterious death of woman he had taken to the lodge

Police in Kamuli are investigating circumstances surrounding the mysterious death of a 30-year-old woman at a local lodge.

The deceased has been identified as Nangobi Zam a resident of Namisu-Mawembe village, Kibuye parish, Kagumba sub-county in Kamuli District.

It is alleged that the deceased was approached by her friend only identified as Joweri who solicited her to spend a night with a man only identified as Ronald.

According to ASP Kasadha Micheal Regional Public Relations officer, Busoga North, Ronald a driver had travelled to Namisu village in the company of his boss identified as Hassan who had gone to visit Joweria, his girlfriend.

However, on arrival, Ronald asked Joweri to get him a woman to spend a night with, prompting her to approach Zam who bought the idea and agreed to spend a night with Ronald.

The duo rented a lodge at around 09:00 pm.

Hell broke loose when at around 01:00 am, Ronald came running to Hassan who was at his girlfriend’s house informing him that Nangobi had died.

The duo immediately drove away to a destination that is yet to be established.

The deceased’s body was found at the scene and taken to Kamuli general hospital mortuary for postmortem.
