Man in trouble for assaulting sister inlaw

The police at Mayuge CPS have arrested a man who appeared in a video beating a woman after taking away her newborn baby.

The video which went viral on social media showed a man brutally assaulting a woman who was crying “I just need my baby.”

SP Nandawula Diana the R/PRO Busoga East identified the suspect as Mulidho Muzahamu 27yrs, a brother inlaw to the victim.

The incident occurred on 29th August 2022 at Buwerere trading centre, Mbirabira parish, Bukatube sub-county Mayuge district. 

He is detained on charges of assault.

According to Nandawula, it is alleged that the victim Ndibogeza Robinah 21 years, delivered a baby boy on 13th August 2022, but Mulidho claimed that she was mentally unstable and took the baby away from her on 28th August 2022.

However, on 29th August 2022, the lady went to Mulidho demanding her baby but he instead beat her up.

Nandawula condemned the act of violence and urged the public to support victims and report perpetrators to the authorities.
