Kiromo Teenz And Piao Piao Sanitary Pads Sign Deal To Promote Menstrual Hygiene In Schools

In a move aimed at improving menstrual hygiene and promoting access to affordable sanitary solutions for students, Kiromo Teenz has officially signed a sponsorship agreement with Piao Piao pads. This partnership will span an entire academic year, covering three school terms.

This partnership is set to bring much-needed support to young girls in schools across Uganda by providing them with affordable and safe sanitary pads, alongside educational initiatives on menstrual health. The initiative aims to help young girls manage their menstrual hygiene with dignity, while reducing absenteeism due to lack of access to sanitary products.

Supporting Menstrual Health and Education
Speaking about the partnership, MC Ollo, , the team leader of Kiromo Teenz emphasized the importance of addressing menstrual hygiene challenges in schools. “Many young girls miss school because they lack access to proper menstrual products. This partnership with Piao Piao Sanitary Pads is part of our broader mission to support student welfare, ensuring that every girl can attend school without interruptions due to menstrual health issues.”

As part of the partnership, Piao Piao Sanitary Pads will be actively involved in Kiromo’s weekly school tours, which reach around 40 schools per term and impact over 20,000 students. Piao Piao will distribute free sanitary pads to students and engage them in educational talks on menstrual hygiene, equipping them with knowledge on how to manage their periods safely and hygienically.

This collaboration is more than just a business deal—it’s a joint effort to empower girls across Uganda.
