Horror as 66-year-old woman is strangled to death for failure to settle bill at local bar

The Police in Amudat District are investigating the circumstances under which a 66-year-old woman, a UPDF deserter, was strangled to death.

The incident is reported to have happened on the night of 10th-11th November 2022 at an unknown time in Multasukan village, Loppedot parish, Abilyep Sub-county, Amudat District.

AIP Longole Mike the Ag. PRO Mt Moroto identifies the deceased as Cheporoke Lorisa a 66-year-old, and resident of the above address.

It is alleged that Lorisa had gone to drink at a local bar on Friday evening. However, she left without clearing the bills after getting drunk in the middle of the night.

This prompted the bar owner’s son to follow and strangle her to death.

Longole says that the Police were informed, visited the scene, and the Postmortem too was done.

Three suspects have since been arrested to help with the investigation.
