Man slaughtered by angry mob for stealing Turkeys, Chickens

The Police in Tororo is investigating a murder by mob action that occurred on Monday 15/08/2022. The deceased has been identified as Ogema John a 35-year-old resident of Pasikula North village, Senda parish, Kirewa sub county in Tororo district.

It is alleged that the deceased was attacked at his home by persons who came from Bunyoli in Butaleja district and searched his premises where they recovered stolen Turkeys and Chicken from his kitchen.

The group proceeded to beat and drag him to the borderline of Tororo and Butaleja districts where he was slaughtered to death.

The police visited the scene and recorded statements from relatives to the deceased and other witnesses.

IP Mugwe J Moses the Ag. PRO Bukedi South Region says that the body was taken to Tororo municipal mortuary for postmortem and the body was handed over to the family for burial.
