Police hunt for site engineer of collapsed building in Wakiso that claimed one

The Police are searching for the site engineer of a building which collapsed and killed one person, leaving two others injured.

The incident occurred on Monday 16th May 2022 at around 1300hrs in Katale Bukwenda, Wakiso District.

ASP Luke Owoyesigyire Deputy PRO KMP says the building belonging to Dorcus Nakassi collapsed and killed a builder identified as Oscar Nsamba, 19, a resident of the same area.

Owoyesigyire identified the two injured persons as Ibra Muganzi, 22, and Damasco Mugogo 19 years, also builders.

Now, the site engineer only identified as Rashid has gone into hiding and the police are currently hunting for him.

The police retrieved the deceased’s body and conveyed it to the city mortuary at Mulago.
