Police officer in trouble for breaking suspect out of cells to have coitus with her
Police in Rukiga district has arrested one of their own for aggravated trafficking in person after he broke a suspect out of the cells to engage in coitus with her.
It is alleged that on 17th January, the suspect identified as Kyatuheire Caroline, a 28year old resident of Nyarubisi cell, Kashambya Sub-county Rukiga district was charged with simple Robbery of money worth one million shillings and a mobile phone.
She was subsequently detained at Kashambya Police Station pending investigations.
However, the officer who was on duty no. 54089 Muhumuza Venerato allegedly took advantage, convinced the victim, and led her to his house where they engaged in coitus.
According to Elly Maate the Kigezi Regional police spokesperson, his was immediately established by the in-charge CID D/C Ampeire Asaph who thought the suspect had escaped from lawful custody. Only to realize that she was in the house of the same.
He notified Cps Rukiga and a team led by the district CID officer responded and found both the victim and the suspect locked in the house.
The officer was arrested and charged accordingly.
