22 year old man burnt to death in Luuka

Unknown people have attacked and burnt a 22-year-old man to death, the Police in Busoga have said.
The deceased is Charles Karobe, a resident of Buwutu village, in Ikumbya sub-county, in Luuka District. He was attacked by unknown people on Sunday.

According to residents, the arsonists allegedly first pelted his grass-thatched house with stones for close to 30 minutes before torching it down.

One of the residents identified as Joan Kasiri said that at about 11:00 am, she heard three men in the compound planning to torch a house. 

However, she notes that the suspected arsonists returned at about 11:30 pm, locked up Karobe in his house, and torched it.

Michael Kasadha the Busoga North Police Spokesperson says that detectives have already inspected the scene of the crime and extracted possible leads.

He noted that they are working with local authorities after receiving reports that the suspects are believed to be hiding in the community.
