55 year old man gunned down in Luweero over land feud
The Police Luwero district are searching for two assailants who murdered a 55-year-old man identified as John Musisi, a resident of Mulajje village in Bamunanika Sub County.
According to Isah Ssemwogerere the Savannah Region Police Spokesperson, Musisi was shot dead on Christmas Day at around 4 pm at Kisako village.
The deceased was riding back home together with two children from prayers at Bamunanika trading center.
Ssemwogerere says the two assailants armed with a Sub Machine Gun riding on a motorbike, deliberately knocked down the deceased before they shot him in the chest and sped off from the scene.
However, Musisi’s children aged 18 and 11 years daughter survived unhurt.
Officers led by Abraham Tukundane the District Police Commander were called to the scene and transferred the body to Luwero Hospital for postmortem.
Police has already identified one of the assailants and launched a manhunt for him to face justice and help them identify his colleague/accomplice.
Ssemwogerere noted that preliminary investigations show that the deceased was feuding with his brother over land and this could have led to his murder.
