45 Suspected Criminals from Arua City Suburbs Face Court Charges
The Arua City Central Business Division Police have formally forwarded 45 suspected criminals to court. They were apprehended in targeted operations conducted in the city’s suburbs last week.
SSP Angucia Josephine, the West Nile Police Public Relations Officer, says that the suspects have been charged with possession of burglary tools, possession of opium, and involvement in simple robberies.
Additionally, four case files have been processed and the suspects are scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, March 4th, 2024.
Remaining case files are currently under review by the Resident State Attorney (RSA) pending legal advice. Angucia emphasizes that intelligence-led operations will persist until organized criminal activities in Arua City are eradicated.
