Unknown thug steals properties worth Shs 20 million at Living Word Assembly Church

Police in Wandegeya are searching for a thug who broke into a church and stole properties worth over Shs 20 million.

The incident occurred on 06 March 2023 at about 0230 hours when unknown thieves broke into the Living Word Assembly Church located at Plot 21 Lumumba Avenue, Kampala and stole 5 laptops, 1 CPU, 1 Floodlight mixer and 1 TV Screen all valued at approximately Ugx 20 million.

SSP Patrick Onyango the spokesperson KMP says that the thieves used the rare part of the church by outstretching the tent canvass to gain entry into the sanctuary.

Police were notified and responded. A case of church breaking and theft was registered and a team of detectives visited the scene of the crime while ICT retrieved the CCTV footage for analysis.

“We are calling upon members of the public who can identify the person in the footage below to pass the information in confidence to the nearest police station, Wandegeya Police station or call 0775436756, 0800199399, 0800199699, 999/112,” says Onyango.
