Unidentified Gunman Shoots Cleaner Dead at Green Africa Bar and Restaurant

Police at Kampala Central Police Station (CPS) are investigating an alleged murder by shooting that occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, 20 January, at around 2:30 a.m. at Green Africa Bar and Restaurant, formerly known as Top Pub.

The Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, SP Racheal Kawala, identified the deceased only as Emma, a cleaner at Green Africa Bar and Restaurant. He was reportedly found lying dead in a pool of blood in the washroom.

According to SP Kawala, preliminary findings indicate that the deceased was allegedly shot by an unidentified person who had been drinking and playing pool at the bar.

The body has been conveyed to KCCA Mulago City Mortuary for post-mortem examination. Police say efforts are underway to identify and arrest the suspect.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
