Unidentified assailants stab man to death in Jinja City
Jinja City authorities are investigating the murder of Rodgers Kifubangabo Junior, a 30-year-old resident of Budhumbuli cell in Bugembe ward.
Kifubangabo lost his life in the early hours of Monday while returning home when he was attacked and stabbed by unidentified assailants armed with machetes.
The assailants dumped the deceased’s body along a nearby railway line, to give the false impression of a railway accident. The victim sustained deep cuts to his neck, chest, and stomach, indicating a targeted attack.
His body was handed over to the Jinja Regional Referral Hospital mortuary awaiting a postmortem examination.
It is reported that school-going children were the first to discover Kifubangabo’s lifeless body while on their way to a nearby secondary school.
James Mubi, the Kiira Regional Police spokesperson, confirmed the incident and urged community members to remain vigilant and collaborate with authorities in their ongoing efforts to ensure public safety.
