Twin arrested, another missing over murder of their brother, as police pursues thugs who stole Ugx200million from Chinese National

Police in Sembabule have in custody one Kakuru Alex and are searching for his twin brother Kato for allegedly killing their own brother, Kiiza after a quarrel.

Charles Twiine the PRO Criminal Investigations Directorate told the press on Monday, that the deceased was cut multiple times before Kato flee the scene.

The brothers picked a quarrel, but the twins overpowered Kiiza. Kato is alleged to have picked the panga and cut him several times.

“The twins overpowered Kiiza and wrestled him down and Kato picked panga and cut Kiiza multiple times and he died” Twiine said.

Kakuru has since been arrested, while Kato is on the run and the hunt for him is ongoing. Kakuru will be charged with murder.

Meanwhile,

Police in Katwe are searching for over 10 thugs armed with pangas who attacked a home of a Chinese National in Bunamwaya.

Twiine says the panga wielding men cut the razor wire at the home of Deng Cheng, accessed the boys’ quarters and taped all occupants’ mouths before accessing the main house.

“Upon accessing the main house, these thieves also beat up the occupants and flee with Ugx200million and $5000. Our intelligence has indicated that the place is becoming notorious with panga wielding men and to that effect, the territorial commanders have deployed heavily, both motorized and foot patrol to counter these unfortunate incidents” Twiine said.

He cautioned people to avoid keeping large amounts of money in their homes as some of these cases involve insiders.
