Three-Year-Old Child Defiled and Murdered in Kitebi

Police in Nateete have launched an investigation into a murder incident that occurred in Kitebi Zone, Mutundwe Parish, Rubaga Division, Kampala District.

The deceased has been identified as Nambeja Bulilian, a 3-year-old child who disappeared on 08/12/2025 at around 1300 hours from her mother, Nakanjala Olivia, a hairdresser at Kitebi–Star and resident of Bunamwaya–Ngobe Zone, Mutundwe Parish, Makindye Ssabagabo, Wakiso District.

A case of disappearance was registered at Nateete Police Division, and search efforts began immediately.

Unfortunately, according to SP Racheal Kawala, PRO KMP, the child was found on 09/12/2025, lifeless and dumped in a room within an isolated house that reportedly once operated as a school. The body was discovered by a firewood seller working near the abandoned premises.

Police responded promptly and visited the crime scene. Preliminary findings indicate that the child was defiled before being killed. The body has been taken to Mulago Hospital Mortuary for a postmortem examination.

Kawala said efforts are underway to identify, arrest, and bring the suspect(s) to justice.

“We appeal to parents and guardians to remain vigilant and exercise extra caution to ensure the safety of their children,” she added.
