Three Arrested as Police Recover Stolen Cheetah Security Gun

The Police in Mukono have recovered a firearm that was stolen in Mukono District and arrested three suspects in connection with the theft.

According to SP Kawala Racheal, the Kampala Metropolitan Police (KMP) spokesperson, the firearm, belonging to Cheetah Security Company, was reported stolen at Mukono Police Station on 6th February 2026 at about 10:00 a.m.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the prime suspect, Mbabajje Robert, a security guard employed by Cheetah Security Company, fraudulently obtained the firearm from his supervisor at the company’s offices in Mukono through deceitful means.

SP Kawala further noted that following intelligence-led operations, Mbabajje was arrested in Kajansi with the assistance of his associate, Parker Scoott. A subsequent search conducted at the suspects’ premises in Kajansi led to the successful recovery of the stolen firearm.

The three suspects have been identified as Mbabajje Robert, a security guard with Cheetah Security Company, Kasongo Blessing, and Parker Scoott, all residents of Kitende Cell “A”, Kajansi, Wakiso District.
