The Amara Girls Initiative is preparing for its 4th Annual Global Conference on Girl Child Empowerment.

Through shared learning and collective action, The Amara Girls Initiative (TAGI) is committed to encouraging girls to own their power, speak up, and freely express themselves while staying safe.

In pursuit of this mission, TAGI is set to host its Global Conference on Girl Child Empowerment, designed to engage, inspire, and equip girls with the tools they need to confidently express themselves and protect their well-being.

Taking place from 20–21 March 2026, the conference marks the 4th Annual Global Conference on Girl Child Empowerment. It aims to create a global platform that amplifies girls’ voices, strengthens their confidence, and provides them with the knowledge, skills, and mentorship needed to boldly imagine and pursue their full potential.

Guided by the theme “Her Voice, Her Power, Her Future – Dare to Dream,” the conference builds on the sustained local and global impact of The Amara Girls Initiative over the past four years, reinforcing its commitment to empowering the girl child and shaping a future where her voice is heard and valued.

As a global convening space, the conference actively promotes regional involvement and collaboration, recognizing that while challenges affecting girls may differ across regions, solutions are strengthened through shared learning and collective action.

By centering local voices within a global framework, the conference bridges regional realities with global perspectives and fosters partnerships that drive sustainable, community-led change.

According to the Executive Director of The Amara Girls Initiative (TAGI), Daphine Marunga, the conference encourages girls to speak up, believe in their power, and take ownership of their futures while remaining safe, informed, and supported.

Daphine further highlights that TAGI has successfully delivered education, advocacy, and empowerment programs across Canada and Sub-Saharan Africa, reaching girls and women through conferences, community outreach, mentorship initiatives, and awareness campaigns focused on education, mental well-being, leadership development, digital safety, and economic empowerment.

Through this sustained work, TAGI reaffirms its commitment to empowering girls and women as leaders, mentors, and changemakers. The conference therefore stands as a powerful call to action inviting participants across regions to dare to dream, lead with purpose, and contribute to a more equitable and inclusive future for girls and women worldwide.
