Second Rwandan National found dead in Uganda in less than a week
The police in Kabale is investigating circumstances under which, a Rwandan National was found dead about 70 meters away from the Uganda Rwanda porous border of Rwene.
The deceased has been identified as Bangirana Paul 47 years, a resident of Kyasako, Nyarwambo, Kaniga, Gicumbi district in Rwanda.
It is alleged that on 1/09/2021 at around evening hours, Bangirana came to Uganda to drink waragi, his wife one Kamuyenge Goddess says.
It is further alleged that as he was heading back to Rwanda while drunk, he failed to walk and slept in one of the gardens where rain found him, and in the morning of yesterday 02/09/2021 at around 10:00 am was found dead.
Elly Maate the Kigezi Region PRO says Police were notified and proceeded to the scene with SOCO. The scene was photographed, sketch plan done, witness statements recorded and the body was taken to Kabale regional referral hospital mortuary pending examination. Inquiries at hand to ascertain the cause of his death.
This is the second Rwandan National to die in Uganda this week, following the murder of another one identified as Dusabimana Theoneste male adult aged 52 from Gicumbi Rwanda, who was killed and his body dumped in Rushaki village, Karujanga ward in Katuna town council on Monday.
It is alleged that the deceased was heard making an alarm from the side of Rwanda on Sunday night, only for his body to be discovered in Uganda on Monday morning 30/08/2021 at around 0800hrs with deep cut wounds around his head.
