Rainbow House of Hope Uganda Brings Joy to Maya Community with First-Ever Day of the African Child Celebrations.

In a historic event, Rainbow House of Hope Uganda celebrated the Day of the African Child with the Maya community on July 6, 2024. This momentous occasion marked the first time the community came together to commemorate this important day.

Rainbow House of Hope Uganda, a non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering vulnerable children and youth, organized the event. The organization has been a beacon of hope for over 20 years, providing education, skills training, and a supportive environment for young people to build a brighter future.

Rainbow House of Hope Uganda’s director, Michael Mwase, emphasized the organization’s commitment to empowering African children. “We are thrilled to celebrate this special day with the Maya community. Our goal is to provide a platform for children to showcase their talents and promote their social-economic welfare.”

The Rainbow Brass Band

The event featured a video session highlighting the history of the Day of the African Child, a conflict resolution and management session, and a vibrant cultural performance by the Rainbow Brass Band. The community was left yearning for more, with children eagerly looking forward to the next event.
