President Museveni wants no bail for murderers, rapists & those charged with assault- Video
President Yoweri Museveni has re-echoed his call for murderers, rapists and those charged with assault to be denied bail.
The President was speaking at the swearing in ceremony of the new Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny Dollo which took place at state house Entebbe on Tuesday.
Mr. Museveni said he believes in an eye for an eye. “An eye for an eye. I don’t believe that you should give an ear for an eye. If you remove an eye, yours must also be removed, if you cut my ear, yours must also be cut” the President said.
On August 20th 2020, President Museveni appointed Justice Alfonse Owiny-Dollo as the new Chief Justice. He becomes the 13th Chief Justice since independence.
