The police in Wakiso District are holding three suspects who were allegedly found in possession of narcotic drugs.
According to SP Racheal Kawala, the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, the suspects were arrested on 12th November 2025 at around 7:00 p.m. in an intelligence-led operation conducted in Kayunga Village, Gombe Parish, Wakiso Town Council.
The suspects have been identified as Kafeero James, alias Uncle Manda, Alioni Gasto, and Mwesigwa Isaac, all residents of the same area. They are currently detained at Wakiso Police Station.
Kawala said the operation targeted individuals involved in selling opium to criminal gangs operating in the area. She revealed that the suspects were disguising themselves as charcoal dealers in Kayunga Market, through which they distributed the drugs.
Detectives recovered several exhibits during the operation.
