Police Arrest Teacher Ssebagala Drake Over Aggravated Defilement

The Police in Nagalama have arrested a primary school teacher in connection with a case of aggravated defilement reported in Kakoola Village, Kyabakadde Parish, Kyampisi Subcounty in Mukono District.

The suspect, Ssebagala Drake, aged 24, a teacher at Praise EL Nursery and Primary School, was taken into custody following investigations into an incident that occurred on November 13,2025. Police say the matter was reported by the child’s family on 18th November 2025, prompting immediate action.

According to Kampala Metropolitan Police PRO ASP Racheal Kawala, preliminary findings indicate that the suspect used his position of authority as a class teacher to lure the child to his residence, where the offence allegedly took place. A medical examination has since confirmed the crime.

For the safety and dignity of the minor, police have withheld all details that could reveal her identity. The suspect is currently detained as investigations continue.
