Police Arrest 17-Year-Old Over Alleged Defilement in Pallisa
Police in Pallisa District are investigating a case of defilement involving a seven-year-old girl. The incident was reported on September 5, 2025, at Pallisa Central Police Station.
According to ASP Kyempasa Wilfred, the Bukedi North Police PRO, the suspect, identified as Olupot Emmanuel, 17, a resident of Rweta A Cell in Kagwese Ward, Pallisa Town Council, was arrested shortly after the alleged act.
Preliminary findings indicate that the child survivor had left home to buy items from a nearby shop when she was allegedly lured and later assaulted by the suspect. Her cries for help reportedly drew the attention of a resident who intervened, leading to the suspect’s arrest.
Police confirmed that statements from witnesses have been recorded, medical examinations have been conducted, and key exhibits have been recovered to aid in the investigation. The child survivor was issued a medical examination form and has received medical attention.
“The case of defilement was registered, and the suspect is currently detained at Pallisa CPS pending further inquiries. More details will be shared in due course,” ASP Kyempasa stated.
Police reiterated their commitment to handling the case with sensitivity and ensuring justice for the victim.
