Mobile Money Agent Stabbed to Death in Nansana

Police in Nansana are investigating a case of aggravated robbery and murder that occurred on the night of July 28, 2025, at around 9:40 p.m. in Nansana East I ‘B’ Zone, Wakiso District.

The victim, identified as Kyamazima Rose, a mobile money agent, was fatally stabbed by three unidentified men riding a motorcycle.

According to SSP Patrick Onyango, the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, the assailants stole the victim’s ATM card, two smartphones, a small button phone, and an unspecified amount of money.

Eyewitnesses reported that Kyamazima had earlier been seen depositing money at a bank using her ATM card before boarding a motorcycle to return home. As she approached her residence, the attackers followed and ambushed her. The motorcycle rider fled the scene in fear, leaving Kyamazima alone.

“Despite her attempts to flee, she was overpowered and stabbed to death,” Onyango stated.

Police responded promptly after being notified, documented the crime scene, and transported the body to the city mortuary for a postmortem to establish the exact cause of death.

Investigations are ongoing to identify and arrest the suspects.
