Loram was shot dead on Tuesday night 7/2/23 at around 2300 hours in Nakamuriai village, Moruita sub-county, Nakapiripirit District.

It is reported that the councillor was called at night by his village mates to follow the blood stains of an injured cattle rustler whom they had shot using bow and arrow while attempting to raid the livestock of Ngurai Daniel in their village.

According to AIP Longole Mike the Ag. PRO Mt Moroto, after tracing blood stains for about one kilometre they landed in an ambush laid by cattle rustlers who shot at them killing Loram instantly.

Police visited the scene and recovered 9 cartridges.

The body of the injured cattle rustler was also recovered in the bushes of Kakomongole sub county. He was identified by residents as Owalinga Lobongole, a resident of Lokwameri village, Nabilatuk town council in Nabilatuk District. It is lying in Nakapiripirit Health centre III pending collection by the relatives.
