Karimojong Warriors hand over rifle to security forces in voluntary disarmament

Two Karimojong warriors identified as Lojoro Lokol and  Losuk Mariko all Residents of Lodwar East village, Morulem parish, Kaabong East Subcounty, Kaabong District have voluntarily handed over one One SMG rifle No AE 3368 Bc with One round of ammunition.

IP Longole Mike the Ag. PRO Mt Moroto/ASTU says that the gun was handed over on 07/2/2024, at round 1230pm at Kaabong District headquarters during the launch of the iron sheet distribution to the reformed warriors.

The sub-machine gun was being shared by the two warriors to commit crimes.

“We applaud the gesture of voluntary Disarmament from the Karacunas. The presidential window for amnesty for those (Karacunas) who handover guns voluntarily is still open,” said Longole.
