Kamuli Woman Allegedly Cuts Off Husband’s Genitals and Flees
Police in Kamuli are hunting for a 34-year-old woman, Suzan Namuganza, for allegedly attempting to murder her husband by cutting off his genitals and robbing him of an unspecified amount of cash.
ASP Kasadha Michael, the Regional Spokesperson for Busoga North, identified the victim as Kawubanya Moses, 45, the Director of Serena Children’s Home and a resident of Busana Zone, Nabirumba Ward, Nabwigulu Subcounty in Kamuli District.
It is alleged that today, Monday 10/06/24, at around 0300 hours, Kawubanya Moses woke up to bathe before returning to bed with a towel wrapped around his waist. Moments later, the couple’s three-month-old baby started crying, and Namuganza, his wife, woke up.
The victim told police that he thought she was getting milk for the baby, only for her to return with a knife and cut off his genitals before fleeing with an unspecified amount of money.
Kasadha stated that the victim ran to the neighbors, who helped rush him to Kamuli General Hospital for medical attention before making a report at CPS Kamuli. Police have since launched a hunt for Namuganza, who is yet to be found.
