IGP Ochola promotes 13 subordinate officers from Sports Department
The Inspector General of Police, IGP Okoth Martin Ochola in exercising powers under Section 11(1), (a) & 13(1) (2), (b) of the Police Act, has promoted 13 subordinate officers, from the sports department to various ranks of Inspector of Police, (IP), Assistant Inspector of Police, (AIP) Sergeant (SGT) and corporal (CPL), 10 SPCS to PC.
Those promoted include; Malavu Peter from AIP to IP and Nawooya Magaember Akimu from SGT to AIP. Ngaimoko Ali, Odipio Isaac and Ssendagala Esther have been promoted from CPL to SGT.
The IGP promoted from PC to CPL the following officers;
Ismail Ahmed, Ebalu Walter, Ssentume Joseph, NAlumansi Aisha Kitimbo and Mpanguzi Ramathan. The others are Chebriot Benson, Muwanika Yusuf and Nakalema Josephine.
According to ACP Nabakka Claire the Deputy PRO, the IGP thanked them for their tremendous contributions to the sports department that has brought the police and country medals.
“They are therefore being rewarded for the great success, pride and jubilation they brought to the institution and the country during their participation in the various sports activities,” said Nabakka.
The IGP further encouraged them to continue excelling in their field of sports and to inspire young talent into sports and further take their responsibilities very seriously in promoting the image of the police and Uganda as a country.
