Horror as Mother murders her two children in suspected ritual sacrifice

Police in Kiira region, have in custody a 28-year-old woman, identified as Rose Musiya, on suspicion of killing her two children.

According to reports, Musiya, a resident of Buwagi cell in the Northern Division of Jinja City, is alleged to have murdered her children in a ritualistic manner. She later buried one of the children inside her house.

The father of the children, Magada Kyagulanyi, a casual laborer from Bukunjja in Buikwe district, arrived home on a Sunday and was informed by Musiya that their children had been missing for the past two days.

Kyagulanyi states that when the police arrived at their home, Musiya initially displayed erratic behaviour, seemingly under the influence of evil forces. However, when questioned further, she reportedly confessed to the crime.

Lydia Karemera, the Deputy Resident City Commissioner of Jinja North, has confirmed that detectives have documented the crime scene but they have not yet recovered the body of the second child.

Karemera further explains that, in light of the circumstances, Musiya will need to undergo a psychiatric evaluation before further legal proceedings can take place.
