Four Arrested Over Robberies in Naguru

Police at Jinja Road Division have arrested four suspects linked to a series of robberies in Naguru and surrounding areas.

The arrests followed a reported robbery involving a victim identified as Igelet on 13th February at about 1:30 a.m. in Naguru Kasenke II.

According to SP Racheal Kawala, the Public Relations Officer for Kampala Metropolitan Police, preliminary findings indicate that the suspects are connected to multiple cases of simple and aggravated robbery. The group allegedly used pavers and other blunt objects, mainly targeting pedestrians during the early morning and late evening hours.

The suspects have been identified as Akbar Ashraf, a resident of Binyonyi Zone, Naguru Parish II in Nakawa Division, Wachini Junior, Oketch Robert, and Ogolo George.

Kawala said the suspects are currently in custody and will be charged and arraigned in court upon completion of investigations.
