Police in Wakiso District have arrested four suspects in connection with the theft of church property and other suspected stolen items.
According to ASP Luke Owoyesigyire the Deputy PRO – Kampala Metropolitan Police, the arrests followed a report filed by a pastor from Just Believe Ministries in Nkoowe Village, Mende Sub-County, after unidentified thugs allegedly broke into the church and stole a public address system.
In a joint operation conducted by Wakiso and Nkoowe Police, several suspects were apprehended, including Ssekitoleko Ronald, a known repeat offender. His accomplices, Wejuri Ronald, Ssekajja Robert, and Nabakooza Fatumah, were also arrested after being found in possession of various stolen household and electronic items.
A search conducted at different locations led to the recovery of numerous exhibits, including television sets, amplifiers, loudspeakers, sofa sets, microphones, and other electronic items suspected to have been stolen from multiple premises.
Police say inquiries are ongoing as efforts continue to identify additional victims and recover more stolen property.
