Father Arrested for Allegedly Murdering 14-Year-Old Son

A 34-year-old father, Musamali Musa, a boda-boda operator residing in Budini Mission Ward in Kaliro Town Council, is in police custody on suspicion of murdering his 14-year-old son, Wanzala Issah, a student at Budini Boys Primary School.

Preliminary investigations, as reported by ASP Kasadha Micheal, the Regional spokesperson for Busoga North, indicate that on Tuesday, 31st October 2023, around 1:00 pm in Budini Mission Ward, Kaliro Town Council, Musa allegedly assaulted his son, accusing him of stealing 16,000 Ugandan shillings.

After the incident, it is alleged that the suspect discreetly transported the victim’s body to his ancestral home in Buyala-Budondo, Jinja City, with the intention of burial. Local authorities in Buyala were alerted, leading to Musa’s subsequent arrest. He is currently detained at CPS Kaliro pending further investigation.

The victim’s body has been recovered and transported to Jinja Referral Hospital mortuary for a postmortem examination. Additionally, a visit to the crime scene yielded valuable pieces of evidence for the ongoing investigation.
