dfcu Bank Strengthens Connections With Stakeholders Ahead Of 60th Anniversary
As dfcu Bank approaches its 60th anniversary, the institution continues to prioritize stakeholder engagements as a cornerstone of its organizational strategy, solidifying its dedication to fostering enduring relationships and enhancing connections with its customers.
At a breakfast event themed ‘Transforming Lives and Businesses in Uganda,’ held at the Sheraton Hotel Kampala, dfcu Bank convened a diverse group of stakeholders, including customers, partners, employees, and community leaders. The gathering facilitated collaborative discussions and forward-looking conversations aimed at driving mutual growth and prosperity.
During the event, dfcu Bank reaffirmed its commitment to serving stakeholders with integrity, innovation, and excellence. Members of the Bank’s Management and Leadership teams outlined strategic initiatives and future plans, emphasizing sustainability, digital transformation, automation, ecosystem creation, and customer-centricity.
In her opening remarks, Kate K Kiiza, dfcu’s Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer, highlighted the Bank’s resilience in navigating the evolving financial landscape. She underscored dfcu’s commitment to strengthening its foundation, generating value for shareholders, nurturing talent, and driving transformation in Uganda.
Annette Kiconco, dfcu’s Chief Retail Banking Officer, emphasized the Bank’s Customer-Centric Approach, placing customers at the forefront of its operations. Doreen Byaruhanga, the Bank’s Chief of Corporate and Institutional Banking, elaborated on its sector specialization strategy tailored to meet the unique needs of businesses across various sectors.
Margaret Karume, the Chief Credit Officer at dfcu Bank, discussed the bank’s efforts to enhance automation and streamline processes to provide timely credit solutions. Charles Mudiwa, CEO of dfcu Bank, reiterated the Bank’s commitment to environmental and social responsibility, emphasizing its role as a responsible corporate citizen.
Mudiwa expressed gratitude to the event attendees, acknowledging the opportunity to engage and share the Bank’s vision for the future.
