CFAO Mobility Uganda Launches Rugged and Nimble Suzuki Jimny
Choosing a 4×4 vehicle has just got a lot easier after CFAO Mobility Uganda unveiled the Suzuki Jimny on the Ugandan market.
“It offers such a superbly balanced combination of authentic off-road ruggedness and light, nimble, maneuverability. The new 5-door model gives you expanded carrying capacity and truly comfortable seating for four adults,” Samuel Ibudi, a senior trainer with CFAO Mobility said.
The Jimny’s body design has evolved to achieve the goal of functional perfection.
With iconic round headlamps and signature 5-slot front grille with chrome accents, the new vehicle’s off-road heritage is evident while the flat, square shape of the bonnet contributes to heightened situational awareness on uneven ground because the full width of the vehicle is always in view.
The 15-inch alloy wheels with a dark gray metallic finish complement Jimny’s rugged styling, and flared wheel arch mouldings and side sill splash guards help shield the body from mud and gravel.
Interior
The interior is equally impressive, with comfortable seating for four adults, ample luggage space, and features like a display audio system, steering wheel audio controls, a side-mounted lamp and accessory socket, and a customizable touch panel that supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and USB connectivity.
Under the hood, the Jimny packs a punch with its 1.5-liter engine, 3-link rigid axle suspension, and ALLGRIP PRO 4WD system, making it capable of handling even the most challenging terrain with ease.
The Jimny’s display audio system has a customisable touch panel that lets you view vehicle information and live video from the rearview camera.
The system also supports Bluetooth(R) for hands-free calling and music playback, and Wi-Fi(R) and USB connectivity for touch panel and voice-activated access to smartphone navigation and messaging apps.
It works with Apple CarPlay which works with your iPhone and Siri to help you get directions, make calls, play music, and send and receive messages using voice commands or the display audio touch panel interface and also works with Android AutoTM which lets you use voice commands to send messages, get directions, control media and perform other actions.
The dual camera brake support, rear parking sensors and cruise control for the Jimny are unbeatable.
Safety
According to Ibudi, the Jimny has the driver airbag positioned in the steering wheel hub, directly in front of the driver designed to deploy rapidly in the event of a frontal collision but also serves to cushion and protect the driver’s head and chest, reducing the risk of serious injury by absorbing the impact forces.
“The passenger airbag is typically located in the dashboard on the passenger side of the vehicle and deploys upon frontal impact to safeguard the front-seat passenger. It acts as a barrier between the passenger and the interior of the vehicle, minimizing injury risks. There are also curtain airbags integrated into the roof lining above the side windows of the vehicle,” Ibdui says.
The curtain airbags deploy downward over the side windows in the event of a side impact or rollover. They provide protection for the heads of occupants in both front and rear seats, reducing the risk of head injury caused by collision forces or debris entering the vehicle.”
He adds that the Jimny also comes with a side airbags that deploy to protect the torso and pelvis of the driver and front passenger during a side impact.
With a 3-year/100,000 km warranty and free aftersales service for 2 years, CFAO Mobility says it is offering a comprehensive package for the vehicle that goes for approximately hs120 million.
