Blogger Tusubilwa Ibrahim, Alias Jaja Ichuli, Killed in Kyanja

The Territorial Police at Kira Road is currently investigating a tragic shooting incident that took place on Thursday, May 6th, at approximately 9:20 PM in Kyanja Central Zone. According to preliminary reports, an unidentified gunman armed with an SMG opened fire on a motor vehicle registered under number UBK 213 D, resulting in the fatal shooting of Tusubilwa Ibrahim, also known as Isma Olaxes or Jaja Ichuli.

The victim was travelling in the vehicle with his driver, Mr Waswa Mathias, at the time of the attack. Tusubilwa was seated in the passenger seat and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver sustained minor injuries and has been admitted to a nearby hospital.

Luke Owoyesigyire the DEPUTY PRO KMP confirmed the incident and noted that the area has been cordoned off as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of the public and to facilitate the ongoing investigation process. The police have deployed dedicated task teams to gather all available evidence and conduct thorough investigations into this heinous crime.

He urged residents to remain calm and cooperate with the authorities as they work towards resolving this case swiftly. The police also assured the public that every effort is being made to bring the perpetrators to justice and provide answers to this senseless act of violence.

“The police will continue to update the public with relevant information as soon as it becomes available. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family and friends of Tusubilwa Ibrahim during this difficult time,” says Owoyesigyire.

The murder occurred just days after that of his close neighbour Col (Rtd) Charles Engola who was shot dead by his bodyguard earlier in the week.
