20-year-old South Sudanese national jumps off 4th floor of apartment building in Nansana

Police in Nansana Municipality are investigating a suspected suicide of one Nyameisha Kueth, 20, a South Sudanese national.

According to ASP Luke Owoyesigyire the deputy PRO Kampala Metroplitan police, the incident was reported at police today 14th/07/2021 by a security guard of Alera apartments, where the victim is said to have committed suicide.

It has been established that the deceased has been staying with her step mother.

However, on Tuesday morning, she went missing from their home which prompted her brother to report her missing at Nabweru Police Station.

But she later returned at home that evening.

Bot at 6am on Wednesday, she was seen by the security guard climbing to the 4th floor of the apartment and then jumped to the ground.

She died after hitting the ground. 

Police visited the scene and all relevant statements have been taken. The body has been conveyed to Kampala Capital City Authority mortuary at Mulago for a post mortem.
