One Arrested for assault as election violence escalates

Police in Kabalagala have arrested one suspect on allegations of assault and disrupting elections.

SP Patrick Onyango the KMP police Spokesperson says that on the 02/09/2020 at Jack and Jill polling station, Kyene Zone in Kabalagala Makindye Division, Musingizi Ronald, 20, a resident of the same area unlawfully assaulted Lunkuse Hasifah, 25, who had lined up for voting thereby causing her bodily harm.

She reported the case and was issued with medical form, she was examined and the medical Doctor report indicated that the injuries were harmful.

The suspect has been arrested and detained at Kabalagala Police station while the case file has been submitted to State Attorney for perusal and legal advice.
